Kelley Tillapaugh
Kelley Tillapaugh is a creative entrepreneur, artist, and small business owner with a background in both the creative and business fields. She holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Fashion Design and an Associate of Applied Science in Business Administration, and her professional background includes accounting and bookkeeping. She brings strengths in creative development, organization, branding, visual communication, and practical business operations to the American Rosie Movement.
As a Board member, Kelley aspires to preserve the voices and memories of the women whose work and resilience shaped the Rosie Legacy®. During World War II, the Rosies came together in extraordinary numbers to fill critical roles and accomplish what their country needed during an unprecedented time. Under the guidance of “Thanks!”, Rosies as older women created projects that were meaningful to them and their legacy. Kelley believes that same spirit of cooperation, resourcefulness, and collective action is meaningful today and will continue to be into the future.
She is passionate about bringing communities together to identify their needs and inspire people to collectively bringing solutions to reality. Whether through community gardens or other locally-driven projects that are a model for others, Kelley hopes to carry the spirit of the Rosies forward—not only by preserving their history but also by applying their example of people coming together for a shared purpose to meet today's community needs and get those communities to connect with other communities near and far, to bring unity between people and places that is “something bigger”.
“I have been a full-time, happy accountant, but I am even happier helping people meet their needs every day.”
